Setting up a POS system on a new phone or tablet used to mean one of two things: you drive to the branch yourself, or you wait for IT. For a business owner in Zamboanga City juggling multiple locations, neither option is good.
Dee Capital POS now includes a self-setup feature that solves this completely. You copy a link from your dashboard, send it to your staff, and they set up their device themselves — including installing the app — without you ever being there.
Here's how it works.
The Problem It Solves
New device at your Atsay's branch in Divisoria? New cashier at your food stall near the Zamboanga City Pasonanca area? Normally you'd need to:
- Visit the branch with your laptop
- Log in yourself
- Walk the staff through the install
With self-setup, you do none of that. Your staff gets a link, enters their PIN, and the app installs itself — pre-configured with your store name and logo.
Step 1: Copy the Setup Link From Your Dashboard
Log in to your Dee Capital POS admin dashboard.
For single-location stores:
Navigate to your store detail panel. You'll see a Self-Setup Link card with two buttons: Copy and Open.
- Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.
- The link format is:
your-pos-url.com/setup/{storeId}
For multi-location stores:
Go to your Branches section. Each branch row has its own Setup Link button — copy the one for the specific branch you're setting up.
- The link format includes the branch:
your-pos-url.com/setup/{storeId}?branch={branchId} - This ensures the device is locked to that branch automatically once setup is complete.
Send the link via Viber, SMS, Facebook Messenger — whatever your staff actually uses.
Step 2: Staff Opens the Link and Enters Their PIN
When your staff opens the link on their device, here's what they see:
-
Your store loads immediately — the page shows your store name and logo. The device's browser manifest is updated to your branding before anything else happens.
-
PIN entry screen — they enter the 6-digit PIN you set for them in the admin panel. (Stores using username/password will see the standard login screen instead.)
-
Verified — the system checks the PIN against your store's user records. Once confirmed, the setup flow continues.
No account creation. No email verification. No tech support call. The PIN is the only credential they need.
Step 3: Install the App (PWA)
After PIN verification, your staff sees the "Install as App" prompt.
This is a PWA (Progressive Web App) install — the app is added directly to their home screen and behaves like a native app. No App Store, no Google Play, no download delays.
On the install screen:
- Android/Chrome: the browser shows a native "Add to Home Screen" dialog automatically.
- iPhone/Safari: the screen shows manual instructions — tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen."
The app installs with:
- Your store's name as the app label
- Your store's logo as the app icon
- The POS pre-locked to their store (or their specific branch, for multi-location setups)
After install, a "Open POS" button takes them straight to the register — ready to take orders.
Why This Matters for Multi-Branch Operations
If you run more than one location — a common situation for family businesses in Zamboanga City — each branch gets its own setup link. When a staff member authenticates with their branch link:
- The app automatically claims that branch
- The device is locked to that location
- No manual branch selection needed
Your central admin dashboard still sees all branches. You just never have to physically touch every device again.
What Business Owners Get Out of This
- Zero IT dependency — staff set themselves up. You send a link.
- No monthly fees — unlike StoreHub or other subscription POS systems that charge ₱1,500–₱3,000/month, Dee Capital POS is a one-time cost.
- Branded install — every device shows your store logo, not a generic app.
- Branch-level control — multi-location owners don't lose visibility. Each device is tied to the right branch from day one.
